Skills Development Programme 2025

Registrations are now open for our Term 1 Skills Development Programme for players looking to access extra training opportunities prior to the season commencing. 

The Skills Development Programme offers additional support for all players between 9 & 12 years of age, all year round. With our Junior Skills Development programme running in all 4 school terms in 6-8 week blocks.

The OFC Skills Development Programme provides an aligned, co-ordinated approach to junior footballers, aged 9-12 years, wishing to access a extra training contacts. Its main aim is to provide a structured programme for players, in an enjoyable environment that maximises player development. It is highly likely that the game in the future will be quicker, more technical and tactical, and the demands on our younger players will be elevated.

These sessions are run by our club coaches with guest apprences from time to time also.

In these sessions we look to group and train like minded players together.

Note: U11 and U12 players. We will also be hosting ID sessions for our U11 and U12 players to help us with our team allocation. Players placed into our development teams will be invited to our Pre-Academy sessions delivered on Mondays alongside this programme in Term 2&3.

In Term 2 & 3, Players in the Junior Skills Development Programme who demonstrate strong commitment, work ethic, and technical ability may be invited to join the Pre-Academy during the season. Coaches continuously assess players' progress, and those who show significant development have the opportunity to transition into the higher-level training environment. This ensures that motivated players always have a clear pathway to advance within our development structure.

Sessions: Mondays
Term 1: Starting: Monday 24th February - 31st March (6 weeks) 
Time: 4:30-5:30pm.
Location: Fergusson Park.
Cost: $90

OFC Skills Development Programme (11-12yrs)
Sessions: Mondays
Term 4: Starting: Monday 24th February - 31st March (6 weeks) 
Time: 5:30-6:30pm.
Location: Fergusson Park.
Cost: $90
