FCTM Wahine
In 2024 Otumoetai FC, Tauranga City and Papamoa FC joined forces in the womens space and formed FC Tauranga Moana. This saw players from each club joining together to create a pathway and platform for our Wahine in the Bay of Plenty to access the appropreate level of competition.
FCTM's Senior Wāhine First Team is the highest ranked in the WaiBOP Region after securing promotion to the NRFL Premiership for the 2025 season. They will also have a Reserves Team playing in the NRFL Premiership Reserves League. They are also looking at having a Waibop W-League team.
Anyone interetsted in playing in these FC Tauranga Moana teams is asked to attend Pre Season training from the following dates:
Identification Phase: 21 January to 6 February (3 weeks).
Days/Venues: Tuesdays (Fergusson Park) and Thursdays (Ocean Downs Reserve).

2025 Youth Wahine
Our programme aligns with NZ Football's development programme standards and we are the only club in the Bay of Plenty region that has an NZF accredited Talent Development Programme (TDP). Achieving this accreditation is acknowledgement from NZ Football that we have met strict criteria both on and off the field. Our coaches have to achieve qualifications and we're proud to have the largest pool of qualified coaches in the Bay of Plenty available for our members.
Designed to cater to different phases of development for girls aged between 13-16 years, our players will be challenged appropriately by training with and playing against players of similar ability. This helps accelerate player development as players will be required to operate at a standard that involves a higher level of performance across all four corners of player development (technical, physical, psychological and social).
Teams train within our NZF accredited TDP and play in leagues focusing on development. Players within these programmes have significant game day options available and have the opportunity to move across teams.
Leagues available are;
- NRFL Youth Leagues (Girls) U14 & U16 - Saturday Competition
Girls - U14 & U16
We held our initial ID Phase for our TDP groups in November 2024. We have an additional 2 week ID phase for players interested in playing in the following mixed leagues: U14 NRFL & U16 NRFLL. All details below;
