Our first team play in the WaiBOP premiership and reserves team in the WaiBOP championship. We also have teams competing in the Bay leagues and sunday social leagues.

The first team has competed in the top half of the league over the past few seasons, and will be looking to push for promotion in 2021. The team will be lead by NZF C Licensed coach Ross Johnson, who will be joined for 2021 by the club's Director of Football and UEFA B licensed coach Joe Dixon. Mario Ramos will continue to lead the WaiBOP championship squad as well as assisting with the first team to continue the great work on developing our talented youth. We also welcome back Graeme Blissett returning in a different role to work with our goalkeepers as well as pass on his years of playing experience.

Club president Paul Thomas comments on the season ahead, 'we are very much looking forward to an exciting upcoming season, the federation leagues are getting stronger each year with alot of clubs now aspiring to be better each year and to push for a northern league spot. We had a relatively young team last year, with an even younger reserves squad. With the majority of the squad returning and a few old heads to add to the mix we hope to be right amongst things at the top end of the league. As the largest club in the WaiBOP region it is really important for us to be continually heading in the right direction for our players to aspire too, with the coaching group in place we are confident we have all the tools to be challenging'. If you are looking to play competitive football in our top 2 teams, please contact Joe at director@otumoetaifootball.co.nz
